I am Carlo Dawson, creative director of AMARU.

I'd like to tell you a bit about what AMARU is, our vision, and our development organization Hemp Global Solutions.

Although we are a new company to the world, it's been a long journey and a huge learning curve to get to this point.

It all started in the Amazon jungle in 1999, believe it or not, when AMARU founder Rebekah Bloom found herself, lost and disillusioned, searching for answers in the Peruvian Amazon, about eight hours by boat from Iquitos.

After a disastrous time working in Machu Picchu, she'd had a vision of a Shaman who could help her make sense of life and the crazy society of the modern world, and went in search...

I won't go into detail, because she has written a brilliant book about her experiences - 'The Shaman's Last Apprentice.'

She lived and made 'Ayahuasca' (a vision journey inducing native medicine) and took many journeys, seeing the visions that would provide the inspiration for AMARU - a business that heals the world instead of destroying it, that distributes wealth instead of hoarding it, and that empowers communities instead of exploiting them.

Later, when I met Rebekah in, she was about to publish her book, the first AMARU product - printed on recycled paper. I was in awe of her achievement, and loved her quirky and joyful disposition.

We became friends and spent more and more time together until we fell in love, sharing similar visions for life and philosophies, and fancying the pants off each other!

Got to go now, got HeartSpace Festival to take HemPower to, tell more later.
